An Old Fashioned Christmas

A photograph can not accurately capture the beautiful jewel tones in this picture. It is breath-taking.
Once again,it is that very special night,Christmas Eve,and everyone is gathering for a country Christmas on the family farm.The house and even the barns, wear ropes of fresh greens accented with big red bows. The small country church was filled earlier with people once again celebrating Christmas. The flicker of many candles danced on church walls and the words of Silent Night could be heard once again, as they always have on Christmas Eve. Bundled children laugh all the way home, while sleigh bells jingle and fluffy snowflakes fall. Stockings of every size are hung in anticipation of a visit from jolly old St. Nick. Mugs of hot cocoa and bits of gingerbread please everyone, while the farm animals enjoy extra treats. Even the cat and two very special little dogs will be remembered. There is much excitement in the air tonight-falling asleep will be difficult. Morning seems so very far away.
